Empire Today Customer Service: The Growth of award-winning Empire Today
Empire Today was not always the name of our company known for world-class service. Historically, Empire Today was known as Empire Carpet. It was founded by entrepreneur Seymour Cohen in 1959 as Empire Plastic Covers, a private, family-owned business based out of a Chicagoland office space. Cohen decided to expand the product line as his customer base grew. In 1965, Empire Plastic Covers changed its name to Empire Home Services and added carpet to the product line. As Empire’s product line grew over the years, so did their national presence and the company changed its name to Empire Carpet. In 2003, we adopted our current name-Empire Today. Now, we offer a wide selection of Empire carpet, flooring and window treatments for you to choose from.
